Healthcare Administrator

Healthcare Administrator

Duties and responsibilities: Healthcare professionals are often given the status of saints who take care of people when they are most vulnerable. But seldom do we give enough credit to those behind the scenes, who keep the business of healthcare running smoothly, the professionals who usually have little or no direct contact with patients, but who work to ensure that best possible care is provided to them. Who are these men and women, you must be wondering. These professionals are healthcare administrators or health service managers and their main job is to plan, coordinate, direct, and supervise the delivery of healthcare.

Salary: $31,415 - $104,939

Education: Many higher-level health care administration executives have a master's degree in a field such as public health or business, hospital or nursing administration. A bachelor's degree is often sufficient for entry-level positions, or for employment with smaller facilities when coupled with relevant health care experience.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?

I would not like to be one because I don’t like.
